Increment Data is a start-up focused on cloud data warehouse optimization. I developed a SaaS product which analyses metadata from data warehouses and queries to provide efficiency and cost-saving recommendations.

I designed the core tool using Python and dbt (BigQuery), with Apache Airflow for orchestration. The front end was created with JavaScript (Dash). I also built the CI/CD pipelines from the ground up. During this project I gained expert knowledge in cloud and data warehouse optimization.

I lead a team of 7 consultants at Schiphol. Working closely together with Schiphol’s Security team we developed a Python model to improve the efficiency of the passenger’s security process.

We successfully facilitated the ingestion of multiple data sources onto an Azure-based data platform, implemented dbt and Databricks for data modelling, Azure Synapse for automated loading and processing. Additionally, I helped the Security department of Schiphol with decisions on their data strategy.

Schiphol was in the transition of onboarding all their data sources onto a centralised data platform. They wanted to monitor the quality of the data on this new platform.

I lead a team of two Data Engineers who built the Data Quality tool. I designed the tool and the infrastructure for the tool on Azure, using Python/pySpark, Delta Lakes and PowerBi. The tool was designed to handle both basic quality checks as well as complex business logic.
