Hieu Bui

Hieu has gained more than fifteen years of experience in business analysis, data/reporting analytics and process improvement. Hieu has worked for most of the large financial institutions in the Netherlands, among which are ING, ABN-AMRO, Rabobank, Nationale-Nederlanden, etc. He has successfully delivered different projects related to regulatory (external) reporting frameworks such as IFRS9, FinRep & CoRep, Basel 3, Solvency 2 and IFRS17.

Hieu skillfully captures business and system requirements, translates these into clear functional specifications, which are comprehensive for all stakeholders and implementation teams. He also participates in different phases of the project ranging from solution designs, data models development, guidance and support during the system implementation and testing the results. Assisting the end-users and providing training to the business community to fully benefit from the deliverables are also part of Hieu's skillset.

Hieu excels in analysing complex data structures, combining and advising clients on solutions, which are the most suitable for the business needs. Based on his strong hands-on skills in different data warehouse platforms (Azure, SAP and Oracle) and experience in different analytics programme languages and tooling (e.g. SQL, Power BI, Databricks, Python) he is capable in participating in all phases of a project life cycle.

As a former Big 4 management consultant Hieu has developed extensive interpersonal skills and is able to communicate effectively at all levels and across organizational boundaries. He possesses the ability to present ideas in business-friendly language. Hieu is able to deal with competing demands and remain calm under pressure. He is a team player, highly motivated, accurate and delivery oriented.

Hieu has lived and worked in Japan & South-East Asia and is also exposed to international business environments during his projects across countries in Europe.
