Seasoned legal and compliance executive who gets things done — not from a distance, but by rolling up his sleeves and building what needs to be built. Over 25 years of hands-on experience across finance, technology and energy, Edward has consistently moved from strategy to execution without losing a step.

What defines Edward is his hands-on builder’s mentality. He doesn’t just write the policy — he implements it, trains the teams, sets up the governance, and sees it through. At Mendix he designed the global data privacy framework en ensured implementation of the Siemens Compliance framework. At DSB Bank he built a legal team from nothing while managing 110,000 files and €217M in claims in real time. At Royal Terberg Group and TotalEnergies, he designed and implemented end-to-end compliance programs.

He operates equally well in boardrooms and in the weeds — a strategic voice at ExCo and Board level who also drafts contracts, runs audits, and manages regulators. Add to that a genuine curiosity about technology, from co-founding a legal-tech start-up in 2007 to now qualifying as an AI Governance Professional, and you have someone who doesn’t just adapt to change but tends to be ahead of it.
