• Liaise with various stakeholders in the company (Finance, Product, Marketing, Customer Ops) to gather requirements for data structures and dashboards.

• Develop data sets and dashboards for business stakeholders.

• Ingest JSON and relational data into Databricks from a variety of data sources using S3, Databricks autoloader, and Fivetran.

• Develop data models using dbt (OBT, dimensional), incl. unit testing and QA. Within 6 months, with a team of 3 developers, we significantly increased the amount, reusability, quality, and test coverage of our dbt / Databricks data models. As a result, we transitioned from simple tables and charts, to delivering complex dashboards rapidly to the business in a sustainable way, including:

• Cohort Analysis to measure financial and business performance.

• Product / Conversion dashboards to identify improvement areas in our funnel.

• Payment dashboards to identify non-paying customers for Customer Ops to take action on.

Work on projects for clients in different industries. Examples:

• E-commerce: Set up data pipelines and modelling with Fivetran, dbt and Snowflake, reducing the time / effort to insights, and improving data quality.

• FMCG: Provide training and technical support, and develop a set of dashboards to aid decision making in Logistics and Finance.

• Consultancy: Act as a team lead for a team of junior consultants, provide coaching, and guide their efforts and communication with clients.

Various projects in data analytics and data engineeering
