Independent practice operating under two names: annemiekeverhoeff.nl/com (2011–2017) and Big Hearted (2017–present). Working with founders, leaders and teams in self-managing and purpose-driven organisations on HR strategy, organisational design, executive coaching and the design of learning experiences. Specialised in the human side of Holacracy and flat organisations. Supporting the questions that surface when traditional hierarchy disappears, around compensation, accountability, governance, culture and personal leadership.

Clients have included Hike One, Voys/Spindle, Joinson & Spice, Concept7, Butterfly Works, Valsplat and Kairos Society, among others.

Served as Lead Link for the HR circle in this human-centered design and research agency. Responsibilities included senior-level coaching on personal leadership, organisational development and facilitation of HR processes within a self-managing structure. Guided the organisation through a reorganisation during the onset of COVID-19, including the difficult process of workforce reduction, concluding with stepping down from the role myself.

Organizational development, leadership- and team coaching. Alignment of people and org. with newly set purpose and strategy. Facilitating the teams' transition towards a flexible, peer-to-peer organization using Holacracy (implemented in April 2014). Doing old skool HR management stuff (hire-fire retention-performance review-compensation) in our own awesome human centred way, while integrating these 'people roles' into processes. Dismantling and distributing HR management within Holacracy. Also, advising founders on process- and organization design for their other ventures.
