On my profile, you will see a lot of experience in recruiting for ICT jobs, but I also have experience in the engineering sector and technical recruitment in general: electronics, embedded software, engineering and R&D. In addition, I am involved in various online platforms focused on sellers and sales managers.

I recruit as an external or as an internal consultant if you want to fill multiple positions in a short time. After a quick start, I am in contact with suitable candidates within 1-2 weeks. For this, I need to ask you many questions to immerse myself in your sector and the open vacancy. This way, I can also ask the right questions to candidates and there is more motivation!

I can deal well with all generations X/Y/Z: I have learned to deal with the phenomenon of asynchronous communication (the phone that is no longer answered), recruiting via social media (LinkedIn member since 2005), my own network/database, and still directly contacting/connecting with candidates (proactive, not waiting). I do not limit myself to only actively searching candidates. There is a greater potential in so-called latent candidates.

This bears fruit, even in the world of AI, automated calls&messaging, and analytics. Not everything can be automated. However, we can make smart use of these tools that are available to us.

If you do as the rest, you fish in the same pond and worse: you have become predictable. Candidates no longer want to be approached impersonally according to a predictable script.

    Recruitment of Embedded Software Engineers, Embedded Linux, Hardware engineers, FPGA engineers, project managers, sales manager, R&D + IT positions: BI, Office 365, modern workplace
    ScioTeq (430p) Develops and produces screens/displays for Aviation, Aerospace and Defense.
    These are tailor-made high-tech projects with long-term contracts and a stable turnover. This is a typical and well-organized engineering environment with a lot of interaction (agile development) and an informal atmosphere.

    Customers and projects ask for quality awareness because of aviation safety standards. This has implications for the recruitment and selection of R&D employees.

    • Dedicated Recruiter for the departments R&D, Defense and IT.
    • Direct search: approaching candidates directly, mainly looking at 5-10 target companies. The pool was therefore limited.
    • Creating a procedure for the recruitment of contractors – freelancers in collaboration with Procurement + successful completion of the recruitment of a senior contractor in a very scarce labor market and still contractors in the pipeline.
    • Rewrite the jobads to be more candidate-oriented.
    • This is only possible if you understand the context of the position very well so that you can make the right links with the candidate and make candidates enthusiastic about taking the next step.

    Results
    • After 3 months 80 candidates in the pipeline: this means contacted by telephone, interviewed via MS Teams or onsite.
    • Exactly 8 candidates (10%) of these 80 candidates were recruited in the first 3 months. This in a very scarce and tense labor market.

    The project has come to an end because of the hiring of 2 new HR Business Partners starting on 23/8/21. ScioTeq contacted me again in 2022 for an additional 4 months assignment for mostly the same positions.
