Hi, I'm Katrien, 42 years young living in Brussels with my boyfriend and daughter. I have a proven track record of successful job experiences in various sectors - the private, cultural and non profit sector - which transformed into a one-person-can-do-it-all... or almost :-).
Before getting deeper into the past, I wish to explain my current career path. I started my own business at the beginning of this year: Little Kameleon, a brand new trilingual online shop selling carefully selected second hand baby and kids wear.
In addition, I work as operational partner for the Pond & The Waterfalls on a freelance basis, a non-profit organisation that provides extensive support to emerging collaborations to make their common trajectory a success.
I'm looking for a 3rd mission of about 10h/week in which I can use my experience and expertise to the full.
So, what is my expertise?
Graduated as a translator and in business economics and management, I started my career (2001) as a commercial talent for companies such as Leerdammer and Danone.
After a few years, I switched to the cultural sector and worked for 7 years in the Corporate Development department of the Centre for Fine Arts (BOZAR). I was responsible for the development and the management of long-term partnerships with corporate partners belonging to a wide range of business sectors in order to meet high revenue targets. I identified, developed and secured new sponsor and partner relationships and opportunities from drafting stage through to signing.
In 2016 I decided to invest my expertise & experience in fundraising and corporate partnerships into a sustainable society by working as a partnership manager for Be Planet. I developed the foundation in general with a focus on the Dutch speaking region of Belgium, I raised B2B funds and I followed the citizen projects. After 4 years, I became the coordinator of Be Planet. I had the overall responsibility and I managed a team of 5 persons.
